This is book two of the Twin Forks Mail Order Bride Series, written by Gary L. Gresh. This Historical novel is a western fictional love story novel based on the historical records of the Mail Order Brides that went west in the USA in the 1870's. While the people and most towns are fictional, the history of wagon train travel along the Oregon Trail is quite accurate. Written as a love story, it none-the-less covers the trials and tribulations that met many of the women of the era and the men they married. It's a poignant love story and graphic tale about Elizabeth Sexton leaving her home in Cincinnati in 1876 to travel to Twin Forks, Wyoming. Beth Sexton heads west to find a possible husband close to her own age, as there were few young men left in Cincinnati, Ohio, after the civil war. She decides to travel with a wagon train on the Oregon Trail to get out west. Historically researched from actual wagon train journals kept by settlers, which now reside in various western and National libraries, Gary has a way of telling this tale with both feeling and actual historical facts that make this novel stand out from so many others. All people in the novel are fictional.
