The writer has only to add, that he thinks it very probable both his conclusions drawn from history may be questioned, and his opinions as to the formation and organisation of the Militia may be considered erroneous. He can only say, that the first induced him, in his own person, as an English freeholder, to carry out the senti ments he holds; and the latter are the result of the experience he thus acquired as a militia officer.
