The Motley House is the second installment of the Asher Mason Adventure Series. Fourteen-year-old Asher Mason is growing up in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in rural northern New York State. The story is set in 1980, well before cell phones and internet. Asher has been hired by the quirky local contractor to clean out an old abandoned house. As charming and mysterious as the house appears on the outside, nothing could have prepared Asher for what he would discover within. Secret rooms and tunnels, ancient artifacts and treasure, all guarded by the spirits of old. When a treasure is stolen from a secret room in the house, it's up to Asher to track down the culprit and bring him to justice. Asher's journey is riddled with peril, and fear, and loss, and triumph. It's a wonderful adventure set in rural America. A book for the young and old alike.
