Observed in Hemerocallis by Fulmer In some cases the cytoplasm between two newly formed nuclei was separated although no visible wall was formed; but in most cases the nuclei were formed and remained imbedded in the general cytoplasm (figs. 28 In one case a regular tripartite arrangement of three nuclei was observed and these were surrounded by separate masses of cytoplasm (fig. In none of these cases was the original sporocyte wall disintegrated. The further development of the smaller nuclei was not studied although that might be an interesting investigation.
