You could call the
Paradox Bridge
a humorous self-help book, written in post-modern koan form
(Okay, -made that last description up.)
I'm appalled by the polarization and gratuitous righteous anger in the world today.
I've written a book to hopefully bridge the chasm between our hearts, that values our ability to have different opinions and finds common ground for compassion. It's for those of us tired of the gratuitous righteous certainty and moral outrage of politicians, pundits, and even our manic woke and UN-woke friends and family.
Here's a book that
could
...maybe...perhaps... we'll see... make a difference.
A difference is nonbinary. It's AND versus either/or.
So, the ideas and stories in this book may seem a bit paradoxical.
According to the Oxford dictionary, a
paradox is "a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition that when investigated or explained may prove to be well founded or true."
This book is dedicated to everyone who has to deal with those who are absolutely certain that their opinions and perspectives are the
only
correct ones.
(You know, -they have contempt, disgust, and unfounded indignation about any opinion other than our own.)
However, it's also for those of us too afraid or too tired to deal with them.
Call Paradox a toolbox for
Carefrontation
.
This piece is written in a variety of styles, from the very short (for the YouTube crowd), to longer narratives that unpack complicated constructs for everyday consumption and comprehension.
(Hopefully these will cause only a small amount of mental indigestion for those of you on a restricted food for thought diet.) Many have found it useful for Post Trumpmatic Stress Disorder.
I hope you enjoy and benefit from the read.
Regards
