The response to the psycho-social situation of the population in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) aims to understand and assess the effects of armed conflict on the mental health and social well-being of populations affected by armed conflict. This study seeks to gather essential information to better understand the situation of people affected by violence in the post-conflict context. This research has suggested a new explanation of how social life is directly affected. The conditions in which the populations of the Kivus regions find themselves impede their cognitive, physical and emotional development. The scale of the crisis means that the majority of children and adults living in regions affected by war and armed conflict, particularly those living in displaced persons camps, are traumatized, depressed and chronically stressed. This book has proposed innovative solutions to the psychological health situation of conflict-affected communities.
