Whilst adapting to her new life, she waits for the opportunity to return to Lodenek and reclaim her son but Morrven has high walls and strong defences for a reason and Ellenna finds her fate tied closely to that of her adopted home. The Shattered Rainbow is the first of a four book fantasy series fantasy carrying a modern feel to the dialogue and characterisation, while still being firmly placed in a deeply believable fantasy world, as favoured by such authors like David Eddings, David Gemmell and Robert Jordan.
