This is a story told in three parts, the first is Robbie; a kid who always tried to do the right thing and still fit in with the others, as uncomfortable as that sometimes makes him feel, and in doing that; someone close to him dies and then the real trouble begins. Then there is Henry, a man forced to fight all of his life for his place in a world that didn't want to accept him, simply because of the color of his skin and nothing to do with his character, his heart,or integrity. The last part is about Amoy, a mechanical monkey made in a time when there was no technology, from parts that fell out of the sky; she becomes the "redeemer" of the cursed coin and is especially adept at killing someone when ordered to, with a particular signature: she takes the heads of her victims for their skulls.
