A decorated police inspector's mischievous son is preparing for his Bar Mitzvah when he is sent to stay with his uncle. Determined to find out more about his long-lost mother, young Nono (Thomas Simon) boards a train and discovers a letter detailing a secret mission. That letter leads Nono straight to Felix Glick (Burghart Klaussner), a notorious thief and his father's arch-rival. Together with Felix, Nono heads to the French Riviera, where an encounter with Felix's old friend Lola Ciperola (Isabella Rossellini), a famous singer, may help the adventurous child solve the mysteries of his origin. But can Nono find the answer to his biggest question before his Bar Mitzvah?
