I have always been what you may call a "thinking person,” one who never simply took the world for what it was, but inquired as to why it was so and what it could be. During the brief amount of time that I have spent on this earth, I’ve learned that there are countless aspects of this life—from the laws, beliefs, and values that structure our society to the philosophies that govern each individual’s journey—that I feel compelled to explore. It did not take me long to realize that the wonders that surround this vessel of flesh and bone I was born into would only increase, as I quickly realized that one is never too old to learn. This book is a humble collection of my personal sentiments, reflections, and interpretations of the lessons that can be found in the ever-intriguing phenomenon that is existence. It is inspired in part by my personal beliefs and interests, and in part by insight that can be obtained not only from people’s actions, but their interactions with each other and with the world around them.
