Kinara Alejandra Jones is a sixteen year old mother of twins. Living with her two older sisters, she endures the struggles of being a teen mom as well as staying in an abusive relationship. Malakai Greene, her current boyfriend and the father of her children is a drug dealer. He feels that because he is supplying her with money that he can treat her however he pleases, and no one can stop him. Though she can't take the mistreatment, Kinara can't bring herself to leave him. She needs the money for the twins and she thinks she loves him.
Malakai's best friend, Amir Davis is Kinara's personal savior and the more time she spends with him the harder she falls for him. She knows it's wrong, but she can't help herself. He is everything that you could possibly want in a man and he knows how to treat a woman. All of a sudden things take a drastic turn when Malakai gets arressted. With Malakai in jail, Kinara and Amir are spending a lot more time together and a relationship forms.
In the midst of it all, Kinara finds herself pregnant again, but this time by Amir. Knowing that Malakai has a temper and has "spies", Kinara tries to keep her pregnancy a secret from unfamiliars.
