Religious fiction: Dennell Richards, who was orphaned young and partly reared by her grandparents and partly by her mother's friend, inherits from her grandfather, and later from an uncle who she didn't know existed. She isn't sure that she wants the inheritances because of her religious beliefs. Also, the boy she thought of as a brother as they grew to adulthood together, now wants to marry her. There are many trials, conflicts and adventures during the two years that she has to qualify for her uncle's inheritance. Her faith in God, her family and her friends are tested and she makes many changes in her life.Does she keep the inheritances, does she give them away to charity, or does she not qualify for them? Does she marry the man that she grew to adulthood with and thought of as her brother? Does her faith stay strong during these trials? How does she cope when she is kidnapped and her life is in danger? Does her seem-like brother who wants to be her husband help her during these difficult times or does he make life more complicated for her? When Dennell has a car accident and is injured, does her family or rather her adopted family step up to help her? How far is she willing to go and what is she willing to do to meet the weird stipulations of the will of her uncle and qualify for the inheritance? How important is becoming very wealthy to her - is it important enough to jeopardize her religious faith? Dennell has many problems to solve in her life that most people only wish that they had. She learns that wealth can be a good thing but also, it can be very troublesome.
