It is 1929 and, on the day of the Stock Market Crash, Marshal Max Roundy receives an intriguing telephone call. It will take the McKenna story from the Appalachian town of Dooley, Georgia to the middle of gangland Chicago; and will bring the seedy streets of the big city back to the hills. When the worst occurs, the Family will once again have to pick up the pieces and move on. Murderous rage will lead to revenge, faith will be clung to and lost, but the McKennas will need to find a way to overcome. They will need all their resolve to face the years ahead in the Great Depression.
