Aurora grew up in a small, broken home. Her mother was constantly in and out of relationships, leaving Aurora to fend for herself from a young age. Her father wasn't in the picture, and the few men who came through the door never stayed long. It hardened her, made her skeptical of any kind of love. She moved out when she turned eighteen and has been scraping by ever since. She's worked multiple low-paying jobs, finally settling as a waitress at The Widow's Clutch to pay the bills, where she's learned to fend for herself in a world full of hard men and worse vices. Deep down, she wants someone to care for her, someone who will stick around. But she's afraid of getting attached to anyone who can break her-especially men who live dangerous lives. She wants a life outside of the shadows, but she doesn't think it's possible. That is, until Alexei walks into her world.
