Sheriff Richard Decker spent all his life in Jackson County Florida, and for the past five years he served as the County Sheriff. He thought he had seen, and dealt with, just about everything the county had to offer.
When one afternoon he received a call about a potential domestic dispute, he thought nothing unusual of it.
He soon found he was wrong.
What was supposed to be a cut and dry argument turned out to be the suicide of Darren Blake, an old friend of Decker's, and the attempted kidnapping of Blake's son.
The deeper Decker digs, the less he understands, and soon others begin to disappear. Chasing what leads he can find, Decker finds himself chasing not a man, but a nightmare.
