The formerly Republican statewide elected office holders, still maintain the Republican moniker but Scott shows with 240 cartoons over 136 pages that this is a sometimes laughable but not so funny joke. The intent is to convince Texas and national Republicans of their slime-slide into The Trumpery and the horrific mistake of zoning out under Donald Trump's voodoo. This is a message delivered by Scott's self-description as a very common principled middle class past Republican by acknowledging science and truth are indeed real and refuting Trump's prejudices and scary attacks on American institutions and traditional mainstream news media.
