In order for a psychologist to determine why a young woman murdered her good friend, he must analyze every aspect of her life-long journey: a crazy tale of dimension travel and mystical creatures, which sounds more fiction than fact, but for some reason things seem to be adding up. Marcellina Collins needed only one thing in life: power, or so she thought. She married the dictator of their world for money and after an affair, she swore to murder her husband and rule the world. But she was dying and she knew it, so she seized the opportunity to work with the scholar Acelin Loch in discovering a way between worlds. On the verge of Æthereal War, Marcellina is constantly ping-ponged between her past and current lovers and she is faced with the hardest decision of her life: use her loved ones to gain more power or protect the ones she loves with her life.
