John Silva just started his new job with the State Police in Idaho. Looking forward to a laid back life to retirement. His dreams are dashed when a group of hikers are brutally slain in the woods. When it's determined an animal is responsible they head to the woods to stop the killings. Having brought down a dangerous beast they assume the case is closed. Until more bodies are found in the forest. Desperate to end the carnage police scour the woods and stumble upon an illicit drug operation. Left with no choice the officers do their best to deal with the hand they were dealt.
